The Lode-Penuja onshore wind farm has received an important funding decision from the 2023 CEF Energy cross-border renewable energy projects call.
To implement our ambitious plan, this project has received a €26.6 million CEF grant. The support will be used to perform some construction works during the first stage of its development, including wind turbine foundations, grid and road construction.
The cross-border renewable energy window under CEF Energy promotes cross-border cooperation between Member States in the field of planning, development and the cost-effective exploitation of renewable energy sources, as well as facilitate their integration through energy storage facilities and with the aim of contributing to the Union’s long term decarbonisation strategy, completing the internal energy market and enhancing the security of supply.
The Lode-Penuja onshore wind farm is an important step in the development of renewable energy sector in the region and will make a significant contribution to strengthening our energy security. We thank everyone who has contributed to the successful development of this project. Together, we are moving towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
